Besides organizing transportation for all sorts of yachts to all sorts of destinations, Jan also organizes special events like Brest and the boat show of traditional vessels in Tasmania.
Since 2000 he is the chairman of the S.P.T.S. (Stichting ter Promotie van het Traditionele Schip), which stands for Foundation to Promote Traditional Ships. This foundation was established in 1988 by a small group of owners of Dutch traditional yachts with a shared passion: to show the beauty of these yachts outside The Netherlands.

In September 2009, Holland celebrates the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson’s legendary voyage from Amsterdam to New York.  S.P.T.S was asked to organize the transportation of a fleet of Dutch vessels.
But it was not just the transportation that had to be organized. The whole program, permits, “sponsor ships” and lots of other thing has te be organized.

Jan te Siepe was the right person to do so. He has the experience as yacht transporter, the passion for traditional ships and the knowledge with special events aboard.
